Re-Style Tips #2: Turn a Boring Black Dress into a Sexy Top/Dress/Scarf

Great ideas but it was really hard to see especially because you were wearing everything in black. I couldn’t really see the details.

@cookietray yeah..i’m sorry about that. i tried to record when it’s nice and bright out, but I guess that didn’t really help. you can try to increase the brightness of your monitor. that might help. =)

i like your ideas! but i would definitely wear a different color in your future videos if you can’t move your camera. seeing the contrast of another color and black would be better to see details of the neckline/etc instead.

I agree with the other comments, it was hard to see the detailing since the dress was black. Still love the concept though! Never would have thought to reuse my clothes like that!

As everyone has said, difficult to see, but I think from your instructions and the final pictures I got the idea. This is really a great series of videos you’ve embarked on with the restyling. There’s a lot of videos about DIY cutting up clothes to renew them, and a lot of “how to wear” videos using garments the way they were intended, but you’re working otherwise “unworkable” pieces in truly creative ways, and I especially like that you don’t have to alter the piece to use it.

Yeah the black was hard to see, but I just fiddled with my brightness a bit and all was made clear. Really not a big hassle considering how handy your vids can be! I’m laughing that this isn’t a jcpenny ad after reading about the fuss they made last week.

Ur like a magician with clothes!! I cant believe u turn that dress into a circle scarf! I wish ur video had better lighting though so we could see carefully exactly how u did that. Still love ur vids boots. BTW where did u get that flower belt? Ur style really rock!
